Major bebop scale
The major scale with one extra note between 5 and 6. The extra note makes the chord tones land on the beat, which is why bebop lines sound the way they do.
How to do it
- Learn it slowly; the extra note is a half step.
- Then on scat syllables.
- Give your ear a few days with it.
Remember The extra note is a passing note.
