"Yah" on every note
The Y glides into the vowel from a closed tongue position, which gives a clean, balanced start on every note without a hard edge.
How to do it
- Say "yah" on each note of the five-note scale.
- The tongue tip stays behind the bottom teeth.
- Let the jaw stay loose; only the tongue makes the Y.
Remember Easy "yah", jaw loose.
