Indian riyaz · Intermediate · Indian classical, Every style
Palta: fourths (S M, R P…)
Leaps of a fourth up the scale: Sa Ma, Re Pa, Ga Dha… Wider than the thirds palta, so every landing must be heard before it is sung.
How to do it
- Hear the upper note in your head first.
- Land on it exactly, no scoop.
- Down: Sa Pa, Ni Ma, Dha Ga…
Remember Hear it, then land it.
