Meend: gliding between swaras
A meend is a slow, continuous glide from one swara to another, passing through every pitch in between. It is the voice of Hindustani music.
How to do it
- Hold Sa, then glide to Ga as if drawing a line.
- Arrive exactly on the swara, no overshoot.
- Glide back down the same way.
Remember Draw the line, land exactly.
