Fry to tone on "yaw"
Starting each note with a light creak (vocal fry) and letting the clear tone grow out of it. Fry is the gentlest setting of the voice, and the starting point many rock coaches use before any grit.
How to do it
- Start the note as a soft, low creak.
- Let the tone come in on "yaw" without pushing.
- Quiet. If it scratches, stop.
Remember Creak, then bloom.
Take care Never push through pain or hoarseness. Distortion and screaming should be learned with a teacher in person.
